Axle questions
I seem to be chewing up my right side axle at a rate of one every 4-5 months. Any idea why it goes so fast? The boots don't tear but it starts to click driving forward and around corners, the left seems to be fine however. Any suggestions on what could be causing the premature wearing?

Re: Axle questions
What are you replacing the joints with? Do the replacements have lubrication? Are they just crap joints? Used junkyard parts?
I've never 12/12'd an OEM new or OEM reman axle for a bad joint.

Re: Axle questions
Might be the wheel bearings.. the axle and the bearings go together. When one can't spin freely, it will create heat and friction which causes one to fail over the other.

Re: Axle questions
When I first replaced both axles they were brand new from Advanced. I've since had the warranty with them so I've been using those. They aren't the reman's they are always new, doesn't seem to make much of a difference though. As far as slammed, not really. Lowered 2.5 on skunk2's which really doesn't seem to make a difference seeing as the other side is fine. Wheel bearings have been replaced and both sides spin freely with little to no drag.

Don't slam it.. Then see what happens. One side is different from the other side. Just because one side is fine doesn't mean the other side is too..

Re: Axle questions
I would usually tend to agree with you, however, backed by a lifetime warranty means it's a new part as many times as I want to break it. The downside is I have to waste my time and labor to deal with it. And I don't "want" to break them.
