So yeah, whenever my car is at idle, or above 5k rpm, it smokes bad. I would think that my best fix would to be to simply buy a new block, is this right? I have a d15 right now, but I have a nice d16 head waiting. What block (if that is what I need) do I need to get? Where can I get it cheap?

blue smoke is oil.either bad rings or vavle seats.just rebuild the motor alot of people will tell you not to even bother with a sohc motor but you can do the mini me swap and have a v tech on a non v tech block.do what you want.i have the same motor and just got mine back int he car after rebuilding it.going to be boosting it soon.
