I decided that i should install the sender wire to the wire from the coolant temp sensor that goes to the ecu, so i found it in the electrical diapghram in the service manual, which is A12 yellow/green wire. Well i looked there and its not there in the ecu, that slot is empty. so i didnt know what else to do, i did not want to have to drill a hole in the firewall for the new wire to go in. so i found the yellow/green wire at the instrumental cluster, and tapped on it, and started the car to let it warm up, it only went up to 150 degrees. I did not drive it, its still on the jack stands. but i let it warm up around 2-3000 rpms for like 10 mintues.

I thought normal temps is at 180-190. the stock temp gauge is where its normally at. should i change and hook the wire directly to the coolant temp sensor? or do i need to get a autometer temp sender?

from what i have read "don't qoute me on this". but those connection are very inaccurate and your temp will vary depending on were your takeing the temp from. most people connect stright to the source, the water that is. now im not 100% positive on this but if you search around i remember reading a couple long threads on this, and you might be talking about something completly different, i just thought i might shed some light on the subject
