auto-manual swapp, why do it?
would it really make that much of a difference to do a auto-manual swap besides having the fun of shifting???
like honestly wat makes it any better??

it actually frees up more horsepower thats y when you have an automatic car vs a manual w/ the exact same engine the stick has more hp

stronger, more efficient, more fun to drive, faster, better mpg, lasts longer
the only advantage that an auto trans has over a manual trans is that it's automatic and that you don't have to shift. Aside from that, it loses in every aspect.
on domestic v8s, autos may be faster, but we don't have 5500rpm torque monsters. we have high revving torqueless engines with a small narrow powerband.

Yeah with certain shift points. Autos have some advant. like less turbo lag due to faster shift, but yes. Fast drag cars are auto, but it varies on application. rail cars type drag racers are (correct me if im wrong) 2 speed boosted monsters that run 6's. Funny cars however are a type of manual 4 speed that have 4 shifters for each gear and are reset after each race. not sure on avg. times on either cars, but under 7's no doubt.

i think that if you would build your auto tranny some and get a shift kit, it would probably be better than a stick.
am i correct?

For anything less than a v8 i would want a 5 spd just for the powery feel. Even my tran-am feels more powerful in a manual. Auto's only seem necessary in track only cars to me. Or traffic-stop-go cars... Manuals are more fun, and for a Daily driver car you'll want a 5spd because it lasts longer, cheaper to fix, + fun

on the very very very very very very powerful drag cars, yes.
But you have to remember that these cars are so stupidly powerful, that regardless of where they are in the rpm range, traction is an issue.

Yes, so I would think clutches would make them more 'slippy'

On the auto to 5-speed swap. If you want a faster honda then go 5-speed. Your not going to have a fast auto honda. Also ek foreverguy. The top fuel cars and funny cars don't have a transmission. They have a five disc cluth set-up to slip so the tires don't break traction. Controlled by centrifugal levers you can add and take weight out. Now pro stock has a 5-speed trans. Thats the one you just bang thru the gears with.
