i am doing a auto to manual swap, and at the same time a gsr swap. the engine is in and auto swap is done. the final step starting up. i am using a 2000 type r ecu, the automatic engine wiring harness. the problem is the engine wiring harness has an extra plug. a local shop says i have to take some of the wires out of the plug and reconnect to different wires but won"t tell me where the find the info. they want the work. if anyone has please let me know something.

you dont need any of the wires in that last plug
i did a obd1 b16 swap into an 00 civic that was auto
what yoiu need to do though is, in the console wiring harness where the auto stick thing is you need to cut and connect some of the wires like to start, pull the key out, cruise control and reverse lights.
to get a starter signal you need to connect the big blk/wht and blk/red
then ground out the pink wire for cruise and i think its the blu/blk for the ign lock
i used a chilton and the haynes manual for all my wiring

didnt the 2000 itr ecu have immobilizer built into them?? which harness are you using the automatic one?? i would run the manual harness
