Are you asking when to shift for daily driving? And what motor are you asking for? Or at least give us a redline for the motor.

Shift before 2.5k and you'll save gas, shift around 3-4k and that'll give you a reasonable amount of mileage. Shift at 6800 for peak Sohc PoWa!

shift when it sounds like its peaking, or shift after you get to the point where it doesnt lug into the next gear...

If you cannot tell the earliest and latest shift points by virbation or noise... then you should go to an automatic my friend.... for eyes should be on the road

I dont know if I should shoot you for asking this question because you want to be an @$$ or....

Do you really not know?

If you know and are asking this, go "F" yourself... but if you dont know, shift when you think is appropriate. Daily driving, most shift around 3k. Racing most of the time redline.

But I dunno... If you dont know this one, you might want to buy an automatic or practice driving the manual you just got. Anyhow, good luck...
