Audio Console for RHD car (UK VTi)
Hey guys, I'm a member of Honda Revolutions in the UK (I think you've got a few members of it who post on here too), so hello to you all
I know you've probably read way too many posts about these audio consoles but I'm after a true JDM console (yes, it is really JDM!) because I need one for my UK VTi, so I need the right hand drive version.
I've been looking for one of these for a long time, ordered one from the US through ebay but it turned out to be USDM even though it was advertsied as JDM
So I'm wondering if anybody here knows how to get hold of one? or even better, has one for sale sitting in their garage somewhere?
Thanks in advance,
Rob

Huh? The optional audio console? is the same thing JDM or Usdm.
http://www.jdmhondaparts.com had the audio console for a while I dunno if they still do or not it was like $120. I got mine from hondaautomotiveparts.com

Re: Audio Console for RHD car (couter)
hmmm It can't be the same thing because I have a USDM version at home and it definately does not fit because the orientation is different. When i try and put it in it sits about an inch to the left.
If you look at any pictures of the console in a LHD car, the console wall is slightly more sloped on one side than the other, the true JDM version sloped the opposite way so it was more orientated towards the driver being on the other side of the car.
I've asked japandy on ebay (exports parts from japan) if he can get hold of one and he says they are very rare and are normally the part which is missing from most front-cuts out of japan so he definately knew there was a difference between the real JDM and the so called JDM which is mostly advertised on ebay.

You can see here in this picture of the USDM version that the whole thing slopes to the left. The right hand side of it curves inwards a lot more than the left hand side. On JDM civics it was the other way round.

Re: Audio Console for RHD car (couter)
I've tried bending it but the whole thing is about an inch out, i've seen other people with this problem as well because even though there's 2 versions of it in the US (cig lighter on left and right), it's still only fits the USDM civics because of what I've showed above.
Here's a picture of the true JDM version... not only are the cig lighter and pocket swapped around, but you can see it slopes the opposite way to the USDM version shown above. The orientation is completely the opposite becase the shifter console is about an inch to the right...
