question about jdm audio console
i want to purchase the audio console and i was wondring if the jdm one sown below will work in the us cars. the reason i ask is because since jdm cars have the dash backwards compared to ours will this cause a problem when installin on my us dash?

JDM- cig lighter on the right.
USDM- cig lighter on the left.

This is a "JDM" audio console? It's identical to my Cush Honda dealership version, cigarette lighter on the right. Hope you're not paying a lot because of the 3 letters

oh ok, well can i buy this part from my local honda dealer? and if its not a jdm piece then why do people on ebay always call it jdm, and why is it no usdm civic came with this piece? or i have never seen one with it. sorry not tryin to be a dumb azz about it just confused thats all

NOT A JDM PIECE i have one in my garage i will sell for cheap it is NOT JDM unless u really want to waste ur money to have a damn ligther on the wrong side?

Yes you can buy it from Honda dealers, but not many, as 92-95 Civics are about 10 years old, some of the parts are hard to find. People on Ebay call it "JDM" to get all of the stunna's and bandwagoners to buy it. Some USDM Civics did come with it, but again, it's an option, not a standard feature. If you can find one on EBAY for cheap, go for it, but make sure you get all the parts for it, there's the metal frame, the plastic cover, the cigarette lighter, the ash tray, and the plastic DIN trays.

go into their accessories section and select your car as a 93 civic si, been that only si hatchback will show up any results. look in the interior section. look for the audio console in the description. it should be $109+shipping. IM if you have any other questions.

so the only difference between the jdm and us version is the cigarette lighter on the opposite side and the "jdm" name? theres no other firment differences? cuz in the picture at the top of the post the audio console doesnt look like its symetrical if u know what i mean but it could just be the way the picture was taken. is the console actually symetrical? as in if u were to divide it in half would it be equal on both sides?

call your honda dealer.. its $125.00 as a complete kit with brackets and all. i see places try to sell it for $200+ and that just goes to show character. we dont sell it becuase its not jdm.
