ARP Head Bolts B16

ARP Head Bolts B16
Hello everyone,
I'm currently doing a Turbo setup on my B16.
I had the head shaved for leveling... I forgot the measurement, but it minimal.
Putting on a .030 Cometic head gasket, and ARP head bolts. The bolts are definitely tightened down to the block. They are all even. I slid the head on, and there might be a issue with thread length running out once I bolt the head down to spec. The ARP washer are thicker than usual, but I'm still questioning it.
Anyone have done this setup. Should I worry about anything before I torque it down?
Thanks,
Paul

I'm assuming you meant head studs. Were you able to try to finger tighten the nuts one the studs finger tight with the washers on? These head studs will stretch a little bit. How far did the nuts make it on the studs?

Hi, thanks for replying.
I haven't tried to put the nuts on, because I can tell that the threads are nearing the end from where the nuts would press down on the head.
And you are right, the studs will stretch, which will also aid in the problem I'm having. Also, the head will still compress to the block.
This is why I stopped and doing some research. It just doesn't make any sense. There is a crap load of thread left over on the top of the stud. You'd think the head would rest somewhere in the middle of the threads.

Oh, I think I misunderstood you before. Your worried about the nuts bottoming out on the studs, not the studs making it throught the head. Are you sure you put them in right side up? I know its a stupid question but a slim possibility.

That is a great assumption, that they would be backwards, but there is a small flange on the top of the threads for the bottom. It wouldn't fit through the head. And their are small allen sockets on the top of the studs, showing the they would be installed, allen side up.
Found another guys pict that is exactly where I'm at in my install. (See the allen side is up)
