APR studs Torque sequence for D series
Im building a d16 turbo and i cant find anyone who can agree on a torque setting for the arp studs.
Ive decided on this, 20Nm, 40Nm, 60Nm, 88Nm
total 65 lbs ft
Does this sound right? anyone?

theres a sequence to torquing the head down. If i knew how to load pics up id show you. Also you torque it in steps. Dont use newton meters. everything is in foot pounds in americaaaaa

arp studs on a d might be more than 65 lb/ft, might not. start tightening in the middle and work your way out and go back over them. work in steps

Okay okay,
Im doing it in stages and i'll tell you in pounds feet
1st step - 15ft.lbs
2nd - 30ft.lbs
3rd - 45ft.lbs
4th - 65ft.lbs
That sound right to anyone? Thanks

Sounds right. The stuff I read didn't include the 3rd stage, I just went 15, 30, 62 on my ARP head studs (d16y8), but the extra step should be beneficial for peace of mind.
