i saw some wheels online that are 17x7 with a 42 offset.

wondering if it would fit and how it looks?

Hey, I have 16x7's, and they have a 42 offset. They look amazing, but you'll have to take my word for it because I don't have any pics. The rims come out to the edge of the car sooooo much, it looks really clean.

wouldn't 45 just tuck in a lil bit more??

Does the extra 2 mm of space really make a difference? I also have a set of 15x7 +40 with 205/50/15 tires and it still doesnt rub. But the tires are 10mm narrower.

for me 42+ and 40+ mm made a big difference for my car.
well let me say it was 17's with 42+mm offset on kumho 205/40/17
i switched to 16's with 40+mm offset and 205/45/16
the camber trick on the on rears would make my new tires rub right against the wheel well so I had to take them out

i'm running a 40mm offset on my 17, the 5zigen wheels i'm gunna put on are a 43offset which actually makes a huge difference.
