Antenna radio reception sucks!
I have a 97 EX and my buddy has a 96 EX, and both our cars get really shitty radio reception. I checked out the antenna but it doesn't look too bad. I'm going to order a new one but first, does anybody else have this problem? Is this a common thing with these cars? Also, they are both Florida cars, so could the salty air have corroded the inside of the cable perhaps? Thanks.

no I put a Kenwood in it, but even before that the stock radio didn't get **** for stations. I just asked a couple other guys here at work with Civics, they say they have the same problem. I wonder if replacing it with a new OE one will work, or if I need to look for something aftermarket....

no, all our other cars work fine. its not picking up the stations that everything else gets without a problem.

My gf's 98 ex has that problem also. We have a Premier Cd player in it but the thing is that it's the same one that we took from my old bimmer and it worked perfectly then. Her old 91 gets awesome reception compared to the 98. Is there a design flaw or somthing? I doubt it since the 92 is mounted in the same area as the 98.

Well I just ordered a new OE one off ebay for $20, so when I get it, i'll install it and see.
