Default alternator mount bracket bolt

Hi I'm trying to take out my alternator. (1997 1.6EL) I just need to remove the last bolt for the mounting bracket but its proving to be quite tough. I cant get a wratchet on there, I can get the closed side of a wrench on but its too tight.... anyways take a look...

why do you have to remove the braket? ive changed alternators on several civics and have never moved the bracket. just move the power steering hose over, if you have one, and pull it up through the top. it fits but just barely.
