Air Idle Control Valve Problem
Hey all,
So I had my car taken in for some maintenance like changing the fuel filter, steering and brake fluid, and I get the car back and the idle is all out of wack. The car revs too high when warming up (2k rpm), and then starts revving and dropping after it's been drivin a while (like, reving up to 1.5k then dropping to 600 rpm repeatedly). Sometimes it gets stuck and revs at about 1.5k, which messes with shifting.
The mechanic I took it to said that the air idle control valve is probably jammed and needs to be replaced (CEL codes). I have my no idea how it managed to break while it was in his shop, but now it's causing me pains. Any other people had this problem, and how did they fix it?
