Default AC blockage

I recently installed a new compressor and reciever/dryer in my friends 97 Civic HF. It worked perfect for about 5 minutes then blew the 20amp fuse. So I put a new fuse in and all of the sudden the the pressures went very high. The compressor seemed to be dead heading all the way to 350psi on the high side and 55psi on the low side. Since I no longer have access to Alldata I am not able to see if his car utalizes an orafice tube or not but I have to suspect that it does and it must be blocked. I checked with Napa and such and non of them showed one listed nor either of the other two types of splitter devices. If any one can lead me to what things usually cause these kind of blockages in your cars that would be great.

Default Re: AC blockage (intelfreak)

did you evacuate the system after you put on the new parts?

if not i would guess non-condensables could be one reason why your head pressure is uber high.

how much refrigerant did you charge it with?
