A/C troubleshooting
I'm trying to fix my AC right now, and I need a little help finding the problem out. I have had the freon pressure checked, the guy said it was alright. The problem is that the compressor will not kick on.
I checked to see if power was getting to the compressor using my multimeter, and it appears that when I have the AC on high there is no voltage running through the compressor's power wire.
Where should I go from here? Is there a fuse for the AC circuit I need to check? If there is, which one is it? the fuse panel cover in my car is gone so I don't have the little map that tells me which fuse is which. If a fuse is not the culprit, I might get a second opinion on the freon pressure, because after I searched, I found out that if pressure is under 25psi then the compressor won't kick on.

What about the A/C relay ? Try running a wire from the + post of your battery directly to the compressor, just dont keep in on there too long, the compressor is designed to cycle on and off.If it works theres probably a problem in your wiring somewhere.Do continuity checks, they are your friend as well.Good luck!
