AC for b18c1 in EK hopefully this ends all questions about this
this is what i have
chassis: 1998 civic hatchback dx with p/s and a/c
motor: 1998 integra gsr
compressors: civic (gonna look up what brand), one from integra is wrecked
brackets: civic and integra
lines: civic only
belts: civic and integra
i have searched and searched on this topic. so far this is what i came up with. to reuse the civic compressor on the integra motor, i would need the crv ac bracket ones that came with b20 motor. others say civic 99-00 si or del sol vtec (model that came with b16 dohc motor). a friend of mine tells me to get civic si bracket and compressor along with the two lines that come out of the compressor. im leaning towards finding a crv bracket to see if the civic compressor fits, lines up, and bolts down. it is the cheaper and easier route if it works. if i use the civic compressor, ill know that both my ac lines would bolt on. does anyone have pictures of the different brackets, compressors, and lines? can anyone that have the crv bracket/civic compressor setup show me a picture of how everything sits.

I just bought the p7j crv bracket and it bolts the d series compressor perfectly in the right spot on the block.
I'll take pics of both brackets and show you the differences. The idler mechanism is totally opposite in the two.
sorry if I don't do this quickly. I just got back surgery on tuesday the 19

from what I know and I don't pretend to be an expert, to use your stock sohc civic ac compressor and lines you need the crv ac bracket or the del sol dohc bracket. the 99 si bracket wont work with the sohc compressor and lines.
People use the crv bracket because it's cheaper than the del sol bracket from majestic, and you also stand a way better chance of grabbing one at a junkyard. I have a 99 civic with a gsr and never got around to doing the ac just yet(lol 9 yrs later), anyone know for certain if this info is correct.

dude I took the bracket and compressor off the car since i have it down right now anyways and took pictures of the new vs old brackets but couldn't upload them. Sorry
what I meant by the idler mechanism is opposite is: they are totally different and aren't interchangeable from d series to b series. So when you buy either the del sol or crv bracket remember to get the idler mechanism or you're going to have to get one from a teggy at a junkyard later.
since I have a crv power steering bracket and a/c brackets I am also using the crv a/c belt and crv power steering belt
That's what I would use for your setup too seeing as the crv uses d series comressor on a b series block.
I don't know if the GSR belt will be the right width/ length

use a b series bracket and ur stock compressor bolt all the blots to the bracket to the block and line up the compressor and only two will line up and bolt those on nice and tight and it works perfect till u get the del sol si b16 ac bracket they are only 100 bucks

like all the others were saying before, use your stock compressor you need the CRV/B16/JDM B18cR bracket if you want to use the Integra compressor than you can use the B18c bracket.
