Re: ?????? (fasthatchback)
Welcome to the Honda side of life. Well it depends how much the motor is and how much the labor is. The motor prices can be seen at jdmhondaparts.com. Their engine prices are pretty mainstream so you can work off that. Labor should be no more than 600 imo cause it is a simple swap assuming it's an eg.

Re: ?????? (Vspec Sol)
Decent price on a B18C1is about 3000, and decent price for an install is 500. So like stated above if someone is telling you 4500 you are getting ripped. Find someone on H-T in your area willing to do it for less than 500.

Re: ?????? (Spoon Hybrid)
if you have the tools and the space you should definately DIY, even if you dont have the tools, use the money you would be using to pay someone else to install your motor to buy some tools

Re: ?????? (dmotoguy)
Well i know someone who would install it for about $400 dollars. But then i have to buy the mounts. So i think its going to come around to the same price. but 1 will be done professionally

Re: ?????? (fasthatchback)
Honestly it all depends on how much you trust the guy who is doing your swap, you can learn alot from it, and it is alot of fun.
If you do it professionally then try to stay there and watch him do the swap. But I promise you, doing things to your car yourself will give you a new appreciation for your car.
