99 gsr swap. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. none. nothing
ok here is the setup, just seeing if anyone has seen this, or have a similar setup with this problem. 99 civic dx. obd2 jdm gsr. lowcash obd2.2-2.1 harness. jdm p72 ecu. car starts, does not idle. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. AT ALL. not even when the key cycles. plug in the dx ecy with out the harness, check engine light comes on. the bulb is there, and everything else. i have a CTR ecu coming tomorrow for test purposes. has anyone seen anything like this before with the ecu jumper harnesses? oh also when you jump the diag connector, no check engine light there either, but the fuel pump cycles, and the engine runs. this is weird. TIA.

if it a jdm thats cool ill see but if it is a usdm, no good. no spool valve oil switch or ckf sensor, or second o2 sensor.

wiring harness would prolly be my first guess as well...try running the motor with the ecu it came with and see if it works.

this is the problem. the check engine light comes on no prob with the 99 dx ecu. but there is so much not there anymore, it wopnt run on the dx ecu. it runs with the p72 and the adapter, but wont idle and has no light. even when you jump the diag connector. i think it is going to be in the adapter harness.

low cash pinned the ecu jumpr harness wring. A17 and A18 were backwards. also note to self, 99-00 DX swap with GSR, the iacv has to be switched from i think B12 to B23. if that is wrong ill re post. atleast it runs.

actually, this is the first time i have seen this, again first 99-00 swap. the dx has the iacv wire at b12 i think. needs to be in b23. alls well!

Usually, most people who make conversion harnesses will do the switching for you. So, unless you're running an ecu directly off the engine harness, you don't need to worry about it.
I recommend that you read this:
http://www.phear7imports.net/subs/btroop/trey/6gen/
It has all the info on the IACV switching.
