99 EM1 - unplugged sensor & vacuum hose, popping when hit bump, replacing brake pads
Just picked up a 99 EM1 Si about a week ago... There are a few things that were rigged by the PO and just need some input... My motor is an original b16a2 and on top of the intake manifold there is what looks like a sensor with nothing plugged up to it. Right beside this sensor, appears to be an open vacuum tube with nothing running to/from it. There is also a popping when hitting bumps and think the cv's are shot from the cut springs on it before... What are some good cv joints? Should I get OEM from the dealership?
I may post some pics tomorrow, but have some work to do on it first. Just bought some pennzoil synchromesh tranny fluid, and going to flush and replace all fluids for this car. I also need advice or recommendations on brake pads? I'm not planning on doing much to the car as it's my DD, but i'm trying to take all the rice **** off of it asap and do the needed maintenance and bring this car back to stock as much as possible. I'm also looking to swap a skunk 2 camber kit for stock upper a arms... So if anyones interested let me know.
