Default 99 civic ex obd2b

Ok
so i bought a 99 civic ex stock single cam vtec
thats a obd2b car right.. Right
car didnt have engine harness installed
So i start plugging everything and throw the plugs thru firewall
now i see that i have one too many plugs down there
turns out that the engine harness is obd2a

any ideas on what to do other than buying a obd2b vtec harness

note:
I thought about the jumper harness
but what about the green plug on the obd2a harness.
its not the same pin layout as the obd2b one
also what happens to plug A thats on the car

so even though the green plug on the obd2a harness doesnt match the obd2b pin layout and i have that plug a obd2b on car dangling and the obd2a harness plug that plugs on driver side has 2 pins more than the obd2b harness my car will run fine with a obd2a ecu?

You need to use a obd2b harness.

but, if you cannot source one. You can do some modifying to the harness. Not sure what this will include, other than swaping plugs.

Or, convert dash/harness to obd2a. This means running the 96-98 climate control, as well as the heater.
And then, swap the ecu to a 96-98, which in it self could pose a few issues.

The easiest option is to began looking for a new harness. Bring the ecu with you to insure the plugs match up.

How much do they want for the harness?

Just sell your old one. It's a lot eaiser. it's beats the chances the of makeing a mistake, and screwing something up.

ok so i got a obd2b harness
missing a few plugs on it though
so i figure ill jus swap the ones i need from the other harness

but i ran into this problem
on the obd2a distributor plug as shown in this url
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...stributors.jpg
#9 Blue engine speed output
is not available on my obd2b distributor plug
so i was thinking of running the wire
so where would this wire go
