99-00 Si exhaust questions...
Ive been looking into getting a cat-back exhaust system for my car. I was looking at the T1R system, Greddy SP2, Apexi WS2, RS*R... What im looking for is a fairly stock looking system that dosn't have that ricey buzzing sound. Something thats not to loud until higher RPM's. Any advice or help would be awsome, Thank you- Andrew

I have a 99 SI. I put the Greddy EVO 2 on it in the summer and it sounds awesome. its a deep tone so it doesn't sound like a fart can but its really not that loud. i think you can find sound clips of it online

You will find that everyone on here no matter what muffler or engine has a low growl, or "deep sound" There is a thread with some soundclips somewhere. Use that.
However, the only true quiet ones that still exist that i know of are... WS2, Twin Loop, and Stock. Good luck finding the RS
I have heard that Magnaflow catback is good sounding but gets louder.
But then again, like I said. Everyone on here not matter what the setup is.. has a "Deep tone".....
No one has said they have a ricey tone. Which considering the number of crapcans I hear each day. Is unlikely. Look for sound clips.

I would have to go with Greddy SP2, I have it and am totally happy with the sound and performance...everyone will have their input but bottom line i have blown by many police with this exhaust and have not been pulled over for it or given a ticket for it.

Just switched out my evo2 for a rsr exmag. couldnt be happier. its as stock sounding and looking as you can get. evo2 is quiet during idle and cruising but at wot and partial throttle it was too loud for me.
