98 EK (EX chassis), 2000 GSR Engine swap - Can you use the GSR harness?
Disclaimer: I'm not an expert at EG/EK stuff, i don't pretend to be.
Rywire does not specialize in these cars. (mainly because they never need anything)
But i'm getting better.
From what i understand, OBD1 EG's and 92-95 GSR engine harnesses are plug and play at the firewall connectors unless the EG chassis didn't have VTEC.
So whats the story on the OBD2 EK - Civic EX chassis with an OBD2 2000 GSR Engine and wire harness. Will it plug and play at the firewall the same way? Just verifying for someone that called and because i would love to know for sure.
Please no misinformation, if you don't know for sure, do not reply

no it will not. obd2 teggys still have the harness terminate at the strut tower. the ek's go all the way into the ecu.

ooooh crrraazy! Basically a subharness to the ECU plugs would work for any GSR sensors not included in that engine bay.
2000 GSR 2a or 2b?
98 EX 2a or 2b?
I would search but i need to run to the post office ASAP LOL
Thanks for your help.

Re: 98 EK (97civicdx)
Ok so a subharness for it would consist of IAB's etc..
VTEC wiring is good because its a Y8 (extend to reach or is length on stock VTEC wiring cool)
We already make the distributor jumper for D series OBD2 to B series OBD2
And is that misinformation i see or do you mean, stock harness will plug right up, THEN you need a subharness for the additional sensors.
