Default 98 coupe engine bay grounds.

Ok so i just swapped an lsv into my coupe. Problem im having is that when i get in and turn the key nothing happens ::: Fuel pump prime, Starter crank, No innitial check engine light.... Nothing. This leads me to believe i have a grounding issue as i replaced the main relay about 1.5 yrs ago and was working fine until the day the d16y8 ate **** on oct. 6th my birthday....BLOWER!!!!. I have my tstat housing grounded via factory harness and a scrap piece of copper from rad support to valve cover and still nothing. Apparently there is a point of attachment on the tranny which is btw an ls 5speed. not sure where the p.o.a would be since i didnt remove it and dont recall removing one from my o.g d16y8. any helpwould be greatly appreciated. Searched but no bueno.

The service manual should show you where all the factory grounds are. If I recall correctly, one on the themostat housing, one on the tranny, and one on the valve cover.

Just make sure you have one somewhere on the tranny if you can't find it. Closer to the starter is probably better. For the valve cover ground, make sure the wire is attached to the POST that holds on the valve cover, not to the valve cover itself. The valve cover itself is pretty well insulated with all the gaskets. If you're in doubt about this, run a second ground wire under an exhaust manifold bolt for testing.
