Doesnt start! HELP!!!
Hi guys.
I have a b16a this morning about to leave for work for car didnt and still doesnt want to start it just swings.
Normally when I put the ignition on the engine light goes on the it would make a like a click sound and go off, I noticed this morning it didnt make that sound. I dont a damn know where to start looking for the problem?
It was driving fine last night.

Re: Doesnt start! HELP!!!
Okay so I still had no luck these are the things I have tried and tested.
1. There is petrol coming through.
2. There is no spark.
3. I tried a different dizzy.
4. I cleant the relay abit and sprayed Q20 on the points. Before I done this the engine light was off and wouldn't come on at all. After I cleant it the engine light now stays on as soon as I switch the ignition on and doesn't go off. I checked to see if theres any ecu codes but it doesnt throw out any codes.
5. I checked all fuses and all is fine.
6. Checked all plugs in the engine bay.
7. Unplugged ECU srayed Q20 on all points and made sure they all making proper contact.
8. Tried different spark plug wires.
9. Thought is could be the alarm so I bypassed the alarm also.
10. Disconnected battery terminal to reset ECU.
Now I am totally lost.
Oh. Its a 1998 pre-facelift EK b16a6 motor. It has the OBD2a ECU.

Yes he is gettting fuel! thats what petrol is.
Sounds like you should concentrate on the no spark issue. Was the distributor you put in new or used or remaufactured?
