98 Civic LX - Help identifying rear brake part.
I bought it used last year and so far I've had no issues with it at all. Until the rear left brake line corroded to the point that it broke. Thankfully, I was parked at the time. I took both bad rear brake hoses off and inspected the front, which looks good. I ordered the replacement parts for both rear brake hoses but it seems the they are different. The only hose available either on-line or at regular auto stores is just a rubber hose but the one I took off is made up of rubber and metal line (check out the pic).
.
The part that I can't find anywhere is actually the part that ruptured. It's a metal U shaped tube, very similar to the brake line that runs under the car. Even the service manual I have access to doesn't show this part.
Does anyone know what it is and if it's OEM? If not, is there any option to replace it with anything else?

it is oem. you're either going to have to buy one from a honda dealer, make your own, or find one at a junkyard.
