Default 98 civic lx front passenger window issue

When I purchased my civic the guy I bought it from told me that the window hadn't worked because of some "Electrical" issue. I've noticed that every other window I use using the master switch dims the vehicles lights when they are on (drawing power) but when I try to roll down the front passenger window it doesn't do that. I've also noticed that when you try rolling down the passenger window with the passenger switch it attempts to roll up but not down... any solutions to this before I throw a bunch of money and frustration into this problem

either regulator or motor is pretty much all that i could recommend.

if you want to test the switch, pull a back door panel off and see if the front switch will roll the other one up or down.

Will the rear window switch fit on the front door?

I just swapped the rear passenger switch with the passenger switch and it didn't fix the problem. The switch isnt the problem.

I know it may be tedious but I would try switching motors out. I had similar issue but due to larger problems I ended up replacing the entire door for my fix.

I pulled a window motor from the junkyard a while back and installed it and still no luck. Since it did come from the junkyard there was no guarantee that it wasn't already bad when I bought it. Just making sure... will the rear window motor fit the passenger front window??

Window issue - Check for a broken wire at the connectors in the driver and passenger side door jambs.

I just check the passenger door and some of the wires are showing copper through, I've only checked the passenger side so far.

You'll probably find one broken wire in the driver's door jamb.

Is that that rubber piece between the door and body of car? And if so how would I go about getting to it?

Pull the rubber boot away from the connector to expose the wires.

On that rubber boot there are 2 green objects correct? And what techniques do you recommend for taking that off without damaging anything?

The wire was the problem!!! Had to use heat shrink to bypass the harness because the wires had broken off inside. Nonetheless everything works!! Window is fully functional again!! Thanks Ron!
