Power window driver's master switch issues
I have a 98 LX four door. A week ago my right rear window stopped going down from the driver's switch, but the switch at the window still worked fine. I spent this morning chasing down the problem and it seems that my master switch is throwing a lot of resistance across that connection, somewhere in the neighborhood of 215-235 (milli?) ohms.
The connectivity seems to work at the right rear window, but the voltage is diminished so much (only seeing a few mV at the right rear switch) that the window won't budge. I assume the switch is aging badly and probably needs to be replaced, but is there anything else I can do to fix the problem? I tried to get underneath the rocker switch plate to the board itself, but I couldn't figure out how to remove the buttons without breaking them.
Any help would be appreciated.
