I have a 98 civic ex coupe for my girl and I'm having issues with my dome light. I can't get the light to come on whenever I open my doors. Now I noticed that there are little pins in the door Jams I'm assuming let computer know when the doors are open and closed. Is that what they are for? Is it possible that they both aren't working? Does anyone else have any ideas what it could be? Has anyone else had this issue? The dome light works if u turn it on manually but not when I open the doors. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

Start by testing the dome light switch.

Wow, that caught my curiosity. Do tell why the radio would cause the dome light not to function.

 

Dome light circuit routes through keyless system in stock radio.

 

Sorry it's been awhile since I've been on but, yes there is an aftermarket radio in the car. Please tell me how I fix this!!!
