I just got a front dome light from a 00 ex and wanted to put it into my 98 4dr civic lx. My car doesnt come with the front dome light so i was wondering if the car came with the wires for the dome light and also if the car has the holes for the dome light to screw into.

if you are refering to a map light, which is right in the front near the rear view mirror, then no, they do not come pre-wired and there are no mounting points.

For anyone wondering, the only 6th gen Civics with the maplight in the US are the 1998-2000 models that came with moonroofs. So the '98+ EX coupe, '99+ Si coupe and '98+ EX sedan are your only choices.

The maplight will be Clear Gray (the roof interior color for all light gray and dark gray cars) it the maplight is from either coupe. The sedan maplight comes in both Clear Gray or Coast Sand. The Coast Sand roof color comes in the sedans with the tan interior.

1998-2000 Civic EX coupe
Type F (Excel Charcoal/Light Gray) interior has Clear Gray maplight
Type K (Classy Gray/Dark Gray) interior has Clear Gray maplight

1998-2000 Civic Si coupe
Type K (Classy Gray/Dark Gray) interior has Clear Gray maplight

1998-2000 Civic EX sedan
Type F (Excel Charcoal/Light Gray) interior has Clear Gray maplight
Type P (Medium Taupe/Tan) interior has Coast Sand maplight
