Hi I'm new to this, but I have a major problem with my civic. Never had any problems til now. 98 civic ex 92k. Recently it started hesitating and jerking when I give it gas to accelerate. I thought it was clogged injectors so I put in gumout fuel injector cleaner. Problem isn't any better, in fact it's getting worse. Any ideas on what this could be? I really need help on this. Trying to go the big race this weekend and afraid to drive my car like this. And all the shops are closed. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

could be alot of things. fuel pressure, too lean of a mixture, maybe one of your plug wires is bad or inst connected. elaborate more.

not sure if this will help, would have to look up fiels again. owner who had my civic last (93 dx) complained to my dealership about slow/hesitation o9n acceleration

we took a look at it and the ?rotor? or something, wil find and get back again, was dirty/rusty in the distributor. this caused loss of spark and made the hesitation. was replaced and its been 40k miles, no probs.

cept i jsut bought a new dizzy for my new d15b engine so the old dizzy is gone..
