I'm guessing that they're 9.5 in. just like the DX/LX models... but you need to check your calipers to make sure. When you change your brake pads, and you just remove the bolt on the bottom so that it swings up, that's an Akebono caliper, so you have the 9.5 in. ones. If you have Nissin calipers where you remove 2 bolts and the caliper comes completely off of the bracket, then you have the 10.5 ones (might be off point somethings of an inch).
But anyway, I'm pretty sure that they're the tiny 9.5 inch ones... afterall, I don't think they'd put the same size calipers on an HX as they do on the EX and SI.

Why not just take the wheel off and measure it? I'm pretty sure they are the 9.5" rotors tho. They are smaller than the EX's 10.3" rotors.

ive had like beyond no free time in the past few days. anyhow, it makes sense that they are smaller then the ex. im kinda just trying to see if i should waste money on upgrades pads/rotors in the stock size, or if i should switch assemblies wiht a car that has bigger brakes...

hx rotors are 9.5" and have smaller calipers than the EX. Personally I wouldn't put a lot of effort into upgrading the hx system. I would just upgrade to the ex system. booster, prop valve, mc, and front spindles with hubs/calipers attached. Add some carbotech bobcat pads, ATE type200 or Superblue brake fluid with some carbotech blank rotors and you will be set

yea i hear ya on this one. by this time next year it will be a swap&turbo car, so i def need good brakes. ill probably just get some brembo blanks for pretty cheap and then do a front and rear disk upgrade in the spring when i get more money. the rotors are fairly warped at this point, so i need something fairly cheap pretty quick.
btw- does anyone know if the 97 hx comes with abs? i havent got a chance to slam on the brakes and see if it has it(got a flat tire currently) and i need to go buy a replacement axle tomorrow cause my cv joint is beyond broken...
