97 Hatch drivers side torque mount loose fit
I am replacing the mount. I noticed that both the old mount and new mount fit "loose" on the mount shaft. The fit is very loose. Its like there is a sleeve missing. Both the old and new mount have a sleeve moulded into the mount. I checked the online exploded parts diagram and there is no other part shown. Has anybody else noticed this sloppy / loose fit?

94EG8, Thanks for the reply. I was so uncomfortable with the fit of the mount over the mount shaft that I called Honda service to confirm that the "sloppy fit" is normal. The Honda Service guy also said that this is the design for this mount. In all my years of mechanics I never saw such a loose fit for parts.

I got the mount at NAPA for $22.00. Its a nice looking mount. All rubber coated. For that price, I'm sold!
