Default 97 EX Rear Drum Brake adjustment ?

I took my rear brakes apart to replace the shoes. The Helm manual does not indicate anything about adjustment. These appear to be self adjusting via a lever (pawl) and the toothed wheel on the clevis pin.
Is'nt there something you actually need to adjust ? Or a rule of thumb about how much E-brake drag to check etc ?
Yes I have already done a forum search !
Thanks

essentially, are you asking how to adjust the rear drums? basically, adjust them so there is slight drag with the ebarke/brakes off. that is sufficient enough.
