Default Best transmission...

The tranny on my d16z6 is just about done (grinds just about every gear but first, the first time you put it in gear after starting it up you damn near have to ram it in, sometimes comes out of gear in 3rd by itself, and sometimes 2nd 3rd and 4th just refuse to go in, and there's always a great deal of resistence..)

so I'm going to just ditch it. What's the best tranny to put on a d16z6, and can I do it myself if I have the right tools? I'm not an expert but I figure it would be a good stepping stone to doing my first motor swap here in a couple months..
