96 civic HB- some kind of oxides builds up on camshaft
i need to know what are those builds up on the camshaft as u can see it in the picture. i just bought this car from some one and it doesnt run. apprantely the person sold to me told me that it overheated and the person contiune to drive with overheat till it broke down.
the spark plugs tube stucks in the cylinder head and i only managed to remove one of four. they just tear parts.
it is an automatic CX hatchback.

no i dont see coolant in the oil. but it has very dark brown oil.

You don't always see coolant in the oil when the head gasket is blown.
Or alternatively, the engine may have blown the head gasket and it was replaced. In this case, the corrosion you are seeing represents "scars" from the blown head gasket.
