96 Civic DX: D16Y7 block, D16Z6 head mini-me questions
Alright I have a couple questions about the swap Im about to undertake. Excuse the "noobness" if that is how you feel about my following questions, I am normally a 88-91 Civic guy not EK.
I obtained a D16Z6 head complete with intake manifold, injectors, fuel rail, throttle body, and throttle cable. I have a D16Y7 (my car is a 96 DX). I havent been able to find a writeup for an identical setup I want to run.
I am going to be using:
-D16Z6 head, intake, and all accessories
-99-00 EX automatic computer (I am keeping my car auto for the time being)
-Y8 headgasket
Now I need to know if I need a different timing belt, headstuds, which throttle body to use (Y7 or Z6), and if I need to wire it for a 2 wire iacv instead of 3 wire? I cant hint down any Y8 parts where I live besides gaskets etc form the Honda dealership. Answers appreciated

Re: Vtec swap
If you're going to keep that ECU you need to keep your current 3-wire IACV.
I *think* You'll need a Y8 timing belt and studs - someone else can confirm this.
