Re: (b00st)
i know you have to cut into the panel. (from what i heard) and find the hole for where the bolts to the bar would go. got a better view ? if not directions ? thanx. any other pics from anyone else would be greatly appreciated.

Re: (EM1-driveR)
Does it actually work? We coupe owners already have the metal speaker tray, and we dont have a big opening like a hatch on an integra or civic hatchback.
So who's actually put these coupe pillar bars to the test in a track/course environment?

omg you people are hopeless.
1. search. there are posts and pics.
2. if you cant figure it out, you should not own any tools. its just like installing one of those stupid strutbarz, yo
next you'll be telling me that the c-piller bar made your car handle tight on the twisties

from what i heard it does help with upper flex on the hatches, but also just gives each side a mountig point and creates less rattles n ****....makes a great cam mount and a good place to hang your laundry on the ay home from the cleaners...

i always thought 96-00 civic coupe's seatbelts are mount either under the rear side windows (which looks like the picture above) or on the speaker tray. (unlike hatches, integras where you mount them to the seatbelt bolt...) if this is correct, how you guys mount them to the c-pillar???

this part jsut installs where my stock seat belts would have gone. I just took the bolt out and pulled out the seat belts and stuck the bar in its place. I got the bar from jdmhondaparts like a year ago. I think its j's racing....

Re: (R@m!r0M)
people are fussing about "how hard could it actually be?" when in reality, 96-00 civic coupe owners don't have their rear seatbelts setup like civic hatches or 92-95 civic coupes. 96-00 civic coupes have a seatbelt setup that doesn't allow for an installation of a c-pillar bar. if someone were to put one on though, it would have to be somewhat a custom job i suppose. not too sure if there any holes on the c-pillar at all to bolt a bar there. but if someone has done it for a 96-00 civic coupe, please post pics and a how to for us. thanx

Re: (Grimm)
the bar is for show only in a coupe, you want to stiffen the inside of the car in a coupe get a cage. dont get stupid bars... there is nothing that keeps that bar from moving it's just a connecting point between two supposedly flexing panels...
a trunk tower bar would be more of a wiser modification than the dumb *** pilar bar in a coupe...
now in a hatchback the jungle gym **** provides many mounting points to stiffen and reinforce the mount. Therefore its worth doing in a hatch.

Re: (137)
if u want stiffening, buy a ROLLBAR. notice i did not say rollcage. that would be unsafe for daily driving. c-piller junglegyms are useless unless ur gonna throw a camera mount on them.
