Default 95 del sol si brake problem.

Hi everybody, I got a 95 del sol si with a few issues and I really need some help troubleshooting it.

I replaced my pads and rotors all around about 8 months ago. I started hearing a squeal and when I checked my pads, the driver's rear pads were low and the passengers side is fine.

I have also noticed a weird smell coming from the wheel before. Could I have a seized caliper? how can I confirm this? taking off caliper and pull on the e brake to see if piston moves? any other ideas. Car drives fine no pulling to one side or anything like that.

I also noticed the screws that hold the rotor were loose, I could wiggle the rotor, could this be the sole reason for the fast wear on the pads (on that side only) and the weird random smell coming from wheel? though even if screws were loose doesn't the wheel hold the rotor in place?

Thanks in advanced

Sounds like either the caliper seized or the ebrake isn't releasing the caliper.

Not a rear caliper. Basically, you're just dragging your ***.

anyway I can check this myself? like lifting the rear and playing with the ebrake, or touching for high temps on rotor (compared to the other rotors)?

For sure if a seized caliper or locked up caliper (from ebrake not releasing), that side will produce much more heat than a normal side. You might also smell burnt pad kinda like a burnt clutch smell.

I haven't had the smell for a while already, I will check for temps. I do hear a very very low noise of dragging coming from brakes when cruising at a low speed in neutral.

thanks "blueintegraboy" for a lot of your input so far.
