del sol brake upgrade ? help
I have a 93 del sol si and wanting to upgrade the brakes a lil. it has axxiz pads and brembo rotors. i bought the car with the back brembo rotors new and off the car. I installed the rotors and the drivers side rotor didnt wear even. it grabbed and wore down just like half of the rotor surface on the outside edge front and back. Is the caliper bad? the rotor bad? pads bad? i know it doesnt have the best setup but far as brake upgrading like the brake system what else can I do? can I swap some civic or acura stock parts to make it better? It seems the front brakes harder than the back, I dunno I just need some help and insight!

Re: del sol brake upgrade ? help (oseprophecy)
usually when only one side wears uneven like that is usuall the caliper thats bad, in rare cases it can be a master cyclinder or even more rare the proportioning valve. take off the caliper and check for broken rubber and then put some air into from a compressor to see if the piston moves back and forth freely then check the guide pins and boots. rebuilt calipers only cost like $40 from like autozone, just make sure you paint them or coat them in antirust coating. also if your del sol already has rear disk brakes they are the same size as the integra (except the type-r)

Re: del sol brake upgrade ? help (akumaracer)
Ok i'm gonna take it off and check it. I might pull one from a junkyard and see if it works. Well since the pads have worn uneven a lil bit, less than 500 miles, should i replace them with the new calipar or let them wear even? What about upgrades to make them better like a different master cylinder? thanks for the help.
