95 Civic Sedan Passenger Side Leak
Every time it rains my passengers floor gets soaking wet. It is raining right now really hard and I can not find where the water is coming in. I just replaced the cowl weatherstripping to no avail. I pulled the carpet and looked and nothing is coming from the blower motor nor from the firewall. I looked behind the ECU and it seems to be dry.
From my many hours of research the leaks are usually from the blower motor or from behind the ECU. I can hear a dripping in my door but it does not seem to be making its way in the car. Literally it is pouring right now and I can not even find one small drip. But literally a half inch of water has made it's way in my car in the last few hours and there is no sign of dripping anywhere.
Anybody have any clues at all? I'm at a complete loss here and about to pull my hair out.

In this case, unfortunately no. That seems to be a major problem that is an easy fix. I wish it were that simple. I haven't checked under the roof weatherstipping for cracks in the seam sealer. I also haven't checked around the hood hinge area for cracks in the seam sealer nor have I completed the TSB that says not enough seam sealer was used in the first place. But from my understanding, leaks there will show up behind or around the ECU. Literally there is no signs where it could be coming from. It seems like the water is just appearing magically.
Obviously these are my next steps, but I literally see nothing coming in from around the ECU. I could be mistaken, but I swear it is dry. Just seeing if anyone has ever encountered massive leaks from anywhere else on the passengers side?

So I guess I'm going to try this procedure tomorrow. Should I really use seam sealer or will silicon work just fine? I have read that people have had success with aquarium silicon. Any other suggestions/recommendations?

Re: 95 Civic Sedan Passenger Side Leak
I have verified that the water is indeed entering the cabin from somewhere behind the ECU. It's late so I'll refrain from pulling the ECU. Just want to update this thread for others who have similar problems.

But what is the easy fix?
My main question is why is it necessary to remove the cowl when taking the fender off exposes the access holes? Is it to expose the seam sealer below the hood hinge? I just want to get this fixed and I really would dread taking my cowl back off again. There is nothing easy about those clips.
