HAAAAAAAALP!!! I have a leak I cannot friggin find... 95 Civic CX
I have a 95 Civic CX. Last year I had a leak on the passenger side that would get the carpet and floormat soaking wet. I had a crack in my windshield that went to the edge to the edge of the a-pillar so I thought that was the problem. I had the window replaced and it didnt happen again until it started raining heavily last week. The leak is back. I looked at the firewall and all the grommets are there. It happens when the car is stationary so its not from water splashing against the underside of the car. The passenger side floorboard is the only part of the car that gets wet. Last year depending on how much it rained I would have standing water on the passenger side. The carpet is also getting smelly which I am combating by drying it and using Febreeze. I friggin need help because I have no idea where the friggin water is coming from...
TIA!
TIA!

The water is not coming from the underside of the car. Water will build up when the car has been sitting and has not moved. Im stumped.

check the drain at the base of the windshield. it may be clogged causing a back up while sitting. just a thought. i know they get nasty in the winter time around here

n locate the leak?

I have already done that. I laid on my back upside down in the passenger seat for almost an hour waiting for a drop and nothing came through (talk about a head rush when I got up). The seep/leak is so slow that it takes a night of rain to soak the passenger side carpet and floormat. I am looking for suggestions where to look.
Beliefs and Observations
-I believe it is not the firewall itself since its intact and has the grommets in it.
-I believe it is not the windshield since it was cracked and I had it replaced thinking that was the problem.
-I believe it is not a drain plug in the floor pan since the water leak happens when the car is stationary.
Questions
-Are there drain tubes in the vent intake cowl that can become clogged allowing water to get into the ventilation system?
-Is there some way that water can get into the ventilation system through the cowl?

-How would I go about doing this?
-Do I remove the windshield wipers and cowl to get to this drain?
-Where exactly is it located?
