when you give it gas the car starts to lose rpm after a while. if you let it chill without giving it gas you see it lose rpm and then shut off or have trouble with the rpm... when i step on it to race the car drives fine but sometimes feel the rpm isn't going up as fast but only last a few short seconds but continues to run hard... if the car is sitting sometimes it idles fine for 1-3 minutes but then it acts up. a mechanic told me hes not sure what the problem is and reason why hes telling me that is so he can make a lot of money on a simple fix and then give me a story of what the problem is and why its so expensive to fix.

theres no cluster so i can't tell if the check engine light is on or not. the engine is in a 92 honda civic hatch with a b18b1 non vtec also theres no o2 sensor on the headers since its aftermarket dc sports 421

i changed the dizzy rotor and the spark plugs and wires are new and car only has been turned on maybe 15 times since its been changed but it was about 8 months ago... any help would be great

well, it would be easier if you had a cluster so you could see if there is a CEL and check the code.

i have a 2003 ep3 cluster that i need to install. the headlights aren't working properly so i need to get it checked out so the cluster would at least show me whats working

i got the stupid headlights to work thanks to a bad ground errrrr. so tonight ima do the ep3 cluster wiring and hopefully ill find out if the CEL is on or not... today i changed the vacuum hose but didnt start the car becuase it started to rain... i looked at spark plug diagrams online and it seems like my wires aren't in the proper order so how can i tell which is the proper spark plug wire order???

hey im kinda having the same problem i have eg civicwith a b18a1 block b18b1 head b20 valve cover my car slow on acceleration and it was shutting off i changed the iat sensor and plugged in the right iat plug off the engine harness that fixed the shutting off some how but it still slow i got beat by my bro da ls which never happen befor any help would be nice

this is the list of crap ive replaced trying to fix this pos
fuel fillter, diz cap, diz rotor, diz coil, ecu, injectors, cat converter, throttle body, tps, map, iat which the car got better but not right, reset timing,

any help would be appreciated

ahhhhhhh **** going to a mechanic it was a simple vacuum hose!!!!!!!!!! when i took my car to the shop it didnt have that problem and once i got it back from the mechanic as soon as i started the car it was acting up and and mechanic said that i gotta leave the car there so he can take a look at it when hes the one that broke a hose i changed the hoses and i noticed a knife cut on it... BEWARE OF MECHANICS dont take your car to any mechanic unless you want to spend a few hundreds!!!!
