94Civic EG B20B Intermittant gear selection problem
94Civic EG B20B
Hi there, The issue I am experiencing is I cant select gears randomly this happens. What I have noticed is that I can select gears fine when I just start the car and seems to have an issue when after I drive and select the reverse gear then it doesnt go into reverse gear and grinds and no gear will select but lets say I drive the car and dont select reverse gear it will select fine. So the issue seems to be triggered only after selecting reverse gear (also it seems when the car is cold or not driven for long periods reverse will go without any issue)
I have changed the clutch, pressure plate and release bearing about a month back with a Valeo
your kind advice will be appreciated thx

Re: Intermittant gear selection problem
What transmission? Is the transmission fluid fresh? What transmission fluid do you use?
How does the clutch pedal feel? Spongy or loose? Any fluid leaks, such as above the clutch pedal?

Hi, it.has a dseries s20 transmission. The transmission fluid was replaced about a month ago with a new clutch. Its manual fluid not sure of the name it was the 1st time Ibought it. The clutch pedal has good resistance feels the same as when it worked fine. Thr is a slight leak from the gearbox seal but it is very little though
