Default 94 del sol Si ..... Is this worth it?

ok ill start off saying the car has been in a small front end collision ... Air bags deployed. Checked everything and none of us can figure out how the hell it blew. It needs front bumper, hood, winshield, air bags and wheel bearings. It was owned by an old guy. This kid bought it and smacked the guys rear the engine runs good just once its warmed up it likes to start to bounce on idle..... Been a while since ive had a honda and i am wanting to get back into it ... Ill show the pictures and you tell me.. He wants a grand for it. It comes with fat fives and gsr seats on delsol rails.

It is a toss up because you will technically be spending another few grand on the car just to get it back to OEM considerably "OK." It depends on how much work you want to do and I would reccomend getting chekced out by a shop before you buy it. Hidden problems and such.

Might be worth it. Price isn't that bad for the things that are wrong. If you don't mind fixing it, i'd say go for it.

FYI, if those GSR seats have the GSR seat pans in them, they're going to be really uncomfortable. To make them comfy you want to swap in some del Sol seat pans. With the GSR seat pans they sit too high.

I put GSR seats in my del Sol and it made my head 1cm from the roof and it was really uncomfortable. I took the del Sol seats apart and put the del Sol seat pans in the GSR seats and now they sit almost as low as the del Sol seats.

i just talked to the guy. The only thing about the seats is they are on delsol rails ... not sure about the pans. It comes with the stock delsol seats and factory tails. (thank god). I just have to figure out what i have to replace with the air bag system.

ill would grap it for 1k. I am actually looking for one right now. It seems to have no rust, but im not sure. only needs a bumper repaint and a front windshield. For the air bag, people who go after market dont even have them either, just replace the passenger side and you be fine.

welp did alot of talkin to him today ... several different times ... Takin it hom for 900.... Not a bad deal ... Plus its coming with the stealies and a set of fat five and the original del sol seats the gsr seats and i told him to just keep the ricer taillights ... Now to start the work on it .... gotta get that little idle problem fixed ... Anything else that can cause a bouncy idle besides the iac valve... Thats already been replaced on it.

lol but if you take the taillights you can sell them on ebay for like $5 less than other people are charging, and make a profit. lol

really though, you should take them and burn them, so there is one less set of ricer del sol taillights out there

i totally agree.... i just have always been a big fan of simple clean design ... and those are so tacky... i have had three crx's this will be my first del sol and im 6foot 1 inch in height ... so no matter what it will never be a perfect fit

You'll be quite surprised once you start driving the del Sol. With the right seat pans and the seat scooted back almost all the way, and the steering wheel raised mid-level, it's actually quite roomy.

I'm 6' 3" and I fit in my del Sol no problem.

Just thought of this randomly... you're gonna love the center console vents (next to the shifter) for when it's cold outside. Once your car is warmed up, the vents feel like seat warmers. It's great... I think Honda might have done this so you can take the roof off when it's semi-cold and still be warm.
