S2000 motor, trans, rear&subframe. Send dss measurements for a driveshaft and axles and get it wired up with a s2000 guage cluster and have fun.

well i know you can do all wheel drive. for example using drivetrain from a 1987 honda civic wagon RT.... Just an option etc... If you have time and money I'm sure you can find a way of getting your car RWD. But if you want a way that would actually work with minor modification on your car then this may be an option for you.

I have been planning this project for 2 years now. My plans were to take a 5vzfe 3.4L Toyota v6, often found in tacoma and 4 runner 96-03 ish... sourced complete unit with r150 5 speed manual for 1000... or just motor and ecu for 680. New bell housing and w58 supra 5 speed for ~400, and MKii celica supra irs sub-frame and rear end. Find a donar MKii with manual trans, and that too is a w58. Engine height is an issue unless you make your own intake plenum, then there is plenty of room, I have an 83 MKii Supra with manual trans, and considered just taking a large portion of the floor and trans tunnel, and fabin' it to the del sol space. Personally I was not too concerned with interior, just roll cage. I ended up on the del sol exterior because of its looks, and overall weight, but also considered doing this set up to an 80's fiesta, 82 Civic hatch down the street from me, 80's corolla, or anything curbing out at 1200 us lbs or less.

Is there a reason you bumped an old thread?

Hoping for interest in my fantasies mostly, or just to see if any one else had similar ideas. Like I said, Ive been planning something similar, and would love other positive interest/ feedback on the hole thing. I found a shop that would do it for me for around 6k, no parts included... sure seams tempting.
