94 CX heavier than 92cx with b16?
ok here is the deal me and my friend both have 92-95 cx hatches
bone stock mine weighed in at 2120, and 2080 with no back seats/spare
then i put the h22a into it and it weighs 2280 with no back/spare but with more gas and a full NOS bottle
my buddy has a 92 cx that has a b16a no back seat/spare with 3/4 tank of gas it weighed 2140, that is only 20 pounds more than mine wieghed stock, WTF?
now mine did have a/c before the swap but not any more, where the hell is all the extra weight? i know the h22a doesnt weight that much more

Re: 94 CX heavier than 92cx with b16? (H22a-CX)
i'm pretty sure the differnce in years shouldnt be a issue, but if it came with ac its prolly a little heavier...
on the other hand....... a cx with h22 will always weigh heavier then a cx with b16 when the chassis weighted the same to begine with......

The '94-'95 CX is 14 lbs heaver than a '92-'93 CX, due to extra chassis strengthing and other safety stuff (pass. air bag, etc.). However an H22 is going to be much heavier than a B16, it's just a bigger motor all around.
Damn I never think my Si hatch is heavy until I compare it to a CX! But, I had to have a sunroof!

Re: 94 CX heavier than 92cx with b16? (H22a-CX)
One of the reason that the 94-95 is heavier is because they have Dual Airbags in the 94-95 model years. There are some other differences too, but I am not gonna list all that ****. Do a search and B18C5-EH2 has done a post on here where it tells the exact weight of everything on the 92-95 civic hatches.
