94 1.5L into 96 DX
OK, done the search, cant find what i need. I blew the stock 96 dx motor a couple months ago and I got a very good deal on a 94 dx motor. Can I use my stock ECU? Tranny? Wiring harness? Anything else I might need to know?

If you live somewhere that you have to get the car inspected, I would just get another 96 motor, as you can't pass the new OBD testing with the OBD1 motor/ecu. If you do plan on doing this, you need the motor and ecu, and also a OBD2 to OBD1 conversion harness.

ok, so youre saying that the d15b will plug into my 96 dx (not sure of the nomenclature) ecu? if so, will it run fine? i live in washington and ive never heard of anyone getting their vehicle inspected that thoroughly, so if all it is is a check mark on some inspectors notebook, i think i can live with that.

To the original poster, why not just pick up another 96 dx motor?? You could get a longblock for less than 300 bucks I'm sure. It will cause you less headaches and end up costing you less to just do that.
