which tranny for turbo?

Default which tranny for turbo?

ok my tranny is goin now. n e day now its gonna blow up. it makes a rattling noise. replace clutch and both bearings. the rattle is still there. so my question is, im goin turbo next year. what would be the best tranny for my car now. I have a 97 hx (very economical lol) n e help would be greatly appriciated

ex is the best d-series tranny. good luck trying to boost the hx. Haven't seen any good results from that before.

im doin a mini me first. it shouldnt be to hard. the only thing different is the valve train.

EX is your best bet and while you have the tranny out throw in a stronger clutch.

the clutch that i replaced sux bad its such a *****. oem pos.

oem isnt a "*****"
its just meant for what the engine is

Or sometimes they just break loose when you try to accellerate Especially in a corer...forget stomping it in 1st or 2nd gear.

Ah...no reason to fly by her..she's driving slow because she doesn't have the motor skills needed to be a safe driver. The last thing I want to do is spook her and have her run into me.

I know what ya mean with trannys going out on the hx mine went out also lol but it was good when i had to drive 1100 miles and i was getting almost 50mpg
let me know how your tranny swap goes

sure will. right now im goin drive it till it blows. i might take it to the track and speed up the process. lol. yes the gas mileage is great. as in my sig

lol thats what i did when my was going out just drive it till it went out haha i knew there was a problem when my tach was going crazy and if u have checked prices of that tranny its crazy and u are suppose to change the fluid every 15k miles it says it in the owners manual so i figured if i got another one then it would go out soon anyways mine went out at about 95k

im goin for an ex tranny. i have 105k on my right know. i guess around 100k hx tranny's go out
