93 d16 swapped low idle/stall when cold
I recently swapped a d16z6 in my 93 civic, 5 speed, p72 ECM, it has a hard time starting, but when it does start it just sputters under 500 rpm until I feather the throttle then leave it about 1000 rpm until warm, also while feathering the throttle it doesn't have any response until warm, just falls on its face until I take my foot off the gas
things I've done
Cleaned the idle air control valve, cleaned the fast idle valve under the throttle body, cleaned the throttle body, checked timing, checked lifter lash, checked fuel pressure, checked vacuum leaks, swapped distributors, and cleaned PVC
still wants go give me fits, anyone have any other ideas by chance? I've read maybe the temp sensor for the ecm could be bad, havent got around to testing it yet, any help would be appreciated

You mentioned you cleaned the FITV but to my understanding depending on how much you tighten it sets the rpm of the cold idle. Theirs also the idle adjustment screw under the cable on the side of your throttle body that determines max closure of the plate, which maybe out of spec as its quite precise. After you have done all this make sure you reset your ecu and go through the idle relearn procedure or the ecu wont know what to do with all your adjustments. They say to reset the ecu even after doing something as minimal as cleaning the throttle body.

theirs a better guide to reseting ecu somewhere on here but i cant find it

Make sure you pull both the ECU and ECU backup fuse. Aswell as remove a batt terminal for good measure, To ideally let all excess current drain from the system.

Nave43 I actually didn't adjust the fitv or the throttle body set screw, I just cleaned them, and a p72 because a buddy had one and I couldn't find a p28 that someone didn't want a crazy amount for, I'm open to other ideas, my temp sensor wasnt actually hooked up, I haven't reset the computer yet, but i will try that when I get home

No, I've just let it alone for now, I'm out of ideas, the temp sensor didn't do the trick, so I'm kind of at a stand still with it
